Steady & strong

A vehicle’s drivetrain sends power from the engine to the wheels. Our experts are trained to troubleshoot and repair drivetrain components in two-wheel, four-wheel and all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicles.

Drivetrain components

It’s essential that the 3 components of a drivetrain are maintained and in good working order.

We service all the functioning parts, from the differentials (front and rear) and transfer case (in four-wheel and all-wheel drive vehicles) to the transmission.

You should bring your vehicle in to see a Jiffy Lube® Technician if you’re experiencing:

  • Vibrations at higher speeds
  • Hard turning
  • Unusual noises

Differential fluid change

Over time, the fluid in a vehicle’s front and rear differentials can break down, placing unnecessary strain on the gears. Left unserviced, the vehicle will become more and more difficult to turn at varying speeds, causing safety issues and potentially damaging other parts.

Luckily, our technicians are here to gauge and replace your differential fluids, so you can take each turn with confidence.

Transfer case fluid change

In four-wheel and all-wheel-drive vehicles, maintaining the condition and level of transfer case fluid allows the gears to operate smoothly. Premature wear and tear can occur when lubricants are left unchanged, hindering the healthy operation of the transfer case.

To ensure this gearbox efficiently transfers power from the engine to the front and rear axles, Jiffy Lube® Technicians recommend fluid maintenance at specific times throughout the vehicle’s lifespan.
